FTP Updates 12/12/08

Here's the basics of what was in the update:

A) Single Click Deposits. I know everyone here started with a $50 deposit 5 years ago and hasn't made a deposit since, but some players might appreciate this. You can set up certain payment types to be "Single Click" enabled, which will allow you to make deposits faster and easier. If you don't like the button on the table, you can disable the feature under the Cashier menu -> Single Click Settings.

B) Getting into SNGs is now easier in three different ways:
1. Some SNGs fill up really fast. Now there's a checkbox on the buyin screen that will buy you into the next available SNG of the same type if the one you're currently trying to register for fills up while you're on the buyin screen.
2. When you bust out of (or win) a SNG, the popup message will now include an option to open up the buyin dialog of the next available SNG of the same type.
3. Lastly, there will nearly always be a completely empty SNG of every type, allowing you to register for 8 at once, for example, without having to wait for each to fill one at a time.

C) Restricted tables. All ring game tables $50/$100 NL/PL and $200/$400 Limit and above are now "Restricted." This means you need to be cleared by our security team before being allowed to sit and play at these tables. This should help a couple of different problems in the high stakes games, including curbing multi-accounting before it starts.

D) More large tournament improvements. The last update improved our large tournament performance to the point where we could comfortably host 7,000 player tournaments with little to no client side lag (the server side of things wasn't the problem here). Some more improvements have been made, and we should be seeing 10,000+ player tournaments with the same level of performance. We also can do a new cool thing with tournament structures now, so look for some interesting structures soon.

E) Some smaller things: Local user preferences are now stored in XML. Old (most would agree better) fonts have returned to places like the Cashier. Bug fixes (including the one that was preventing a few people from opening all of the SNGs they should have been able to open)!
